Tomorrow's start against the Yankees was supposed to be the last of the season for Jays' rookie left-hander Brett Cecil, but because of the shortness of his last outing in Texas, manager Cito Gaston said Cecil will draw one more assignment on Wednesday against the Twins before shutting it down for the year. Fellow rookie Marc Rzepczynski will be done for the season after his next start.

Gaston feels that only three Blue Jay hitters - Marco Scutaro, Aaron Hill and Adam Lind - have been consistent for him all season.

"Those three guys have pretty much carried this club all year," Gaston admitted. "The other guys are trying. It's just not working for them."
